Hotel Chase Leads to Arrest of Two People in Isabella County
Two people were arrested in Isabella County’s Union Township Wednesday, November 18 after leading police on bizarre chase through a hotel.
Clare County sheriff’s deputies went to the Days Inn off Pickard Rd. to arrest a parole absconder, a 22-year-old Saginaw man, who was wanted on multiple felony warrants. When police knocked on the door to the man’s room, they could hear it being barricaded. A 28-year-old Shelby Township woman was also in the room, according to police. The pair allegedly broke through the drywall in several rooms, busting through walls and ceilings in an attempt to flee police.
The woman was arrested first after getting tangled up in pipes in the attic. The man was arrested a couple hours later when police caught up with him and pushed him from a ceiling into the hotel pool.
Additional charges against the pair are pending.
