Hit and Run Suspect Arrested in Mt. Pleasant, Driver Intoxicated

Police in Mt. Pleasant have arrested a suspect in a hit and run crash which occurred June 3.
Police responded to East Pickard and North Mission just before 10:00 p.m. and were informed while en route the suspect vehicle was leaving the scene. A witness followed a blue Pontiac Aztec north on Mission until police arrived to pull the vehicle over and make an arrest.
Police say the suspect was intoxicated at the time of the crash. The suspect is charged with operating while intoxicated, hit and run and driving with a suspended license.
