Former Flint Township Clerk Going to Trial

On Friday, June 3, the former Flint Township Clerk waived her right to a preliminary hearing in an election fraud case, causing the case to be bound over to circuit court for trial.

Kathy Funk is accused of ballot tampering and misconduct in office. According to the Michigan Attorney General’s office, Funk broke a seal on a ballot container during the August 2020 primary election so votes inside could not be counted in an anticipated recount under the state’s election law. Funk was running for election in the primary.
