Flint Tonwship Man Charged In 2019 Murder with Help from A Playstation Audio Recording

Audio of a murder captured on a gaming device in 2019 has finally led to charges against a Flint Township man.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Michigan has charged 40 year old Darel King with using a firearm to commit murder during and in relation to a crime of violence and drug trafficking, in addition to other charges. Prosecutors say King and two other men entered a home on Kent Street in Flint Township July 10, 2019, to rob the occupants of drugs and cash. King allegedly shot the victim, who died as a result of his wounds, and the victim’s girlfriend, who survived.

Prosecutors say an audio recording of the incident was captured on a Playstation 4 which the victims were playing prior to the crime.
