Flint Man Arrested After Five-Hour Standoff with Police

A five-hour standoff in Flint ended with the arrest of a 42-year-old man on Tuesday evening. State police troopers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Eaton Place around 4:00 p.m. to arrest the man, who was wanted by authorities. Upon arrival, the suspect barricaded himself inside the house and was armed with a gun. The standoff lasted until just after 9:00 p.m., when police were able to take the man into custody without incident. No injuries were reported during the standoff. The suspect has not been named pending arraignment. State police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
