Flint Apartment Building Damaged in Fire

Fire officials in Flint are looking into the cause of a fire that damaged an apartment building near the downtown area.

Around 6:30 P.M. Monday, crews from Flint, Burton, and Flint and Genesee Townships were sent to the intersection of Garland Street and West 1st Avenue to find the structure ablaze. Crews were on the scene for several hours before finally getting the fire under control.

Officials say the building was vacant and no injuries were reported.
