Five Arrested in Federal Drug Case

Five men from Saginaw are facing federal drug charges after an investigation into allegations they were planning to sell cocaine and heroin from Mexico. The FBI, along with officers from Bayanet, Saginaw Police and State Police took part in the investigation, which included an FBI phone tap.

Search warrants executed at three locations found over 30 pounds of suspected cocaine, more than $125,000 and 13 guns.

Three of the men, Gregory M. Hayes, Austin A. Saucedo and Ricardo Delgado were charged Wednesday in federal court with conspiracy to possess and with intent to distribute cocaine and heroin. They are in custody until a detention hearing on March 28.

The other two suspects’ names were being withheld until their court appearances.
