First Day Music Minutes–11/27/11

Here are a couple of songs I featured on today’s “First Day” show.

The first one comes from The Association with their hit song, Never My Love, which was certified Gold on this date in 1967:

That song easily reaches my Top 100 Favorite Songs.

For “Pat’s Indie Pick,” I turned to a group that has finally returned to the scene after being apart for around 14 years!  Mazzy Star has released a couple new songs to ease our consciousness.  I think I might have this one on repeat for the next three months.  How I love Hope’s soothing, haunting voice…
