Fire Jumps From One Home to Another in Buena Vista Township

No injuries were reported after a fire broke out at a Buena Vista Township home and spread to another on Saturday.

Fire crews from Buena Vista, Saginaw and Bridgeport responded to a home on South 24th Street around 11:00 A.M. Within an hour, the fire had spread to an adjacent home. Fire officials say the first house was a total loss. The second house sustained damage to its side and roof. A gas leak was reported in the first home, which was quickly controlled and shut off by Consumers Energy.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
