Fire Injures Two People, Damages Saginaw County Home

Authorities in Saginaw County are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a home and injured two people Monday evening.

Tri-Township Fire District officials say the fire was reported around 6:00 at a house in the 13000 block of Townline Road. When crews arrived, the fire was reportedly consuming roughly 40% of the home.

Firefighters remained at the scene for around 3 hours while battling the blaze. No human fatalities were reported, though a civilian and a firefighter were injured, and one pet was killed. The firefighter was treated at Covenant Hospital and released later in the evening.
