Fire in Marion Township Destroys Home, Claims Lives of Family Pets

No human injuries were reported after a fire destroyed a home in Marion Township over the weekend.
Around 2:00 Sunday afternoon, the Marion Township Fire Department responded to the call in the 6000 block of Meridian Road. They found flames fully engulfing the two-story home, and called for assistance from several area fire departments.
While no one was injured, authorities say family pets were killed in the fire.
