FAA Investigating Caro Airport Plane Crash

The Monday plane crash in Tuscola County’s Caro Airport is now being looked into by federal authorities.

An initial investigation by the Michigan State Police found the 44-year-old man from Caro flying the 1978 Aeropro was attempting to land at the airport around 5:00 P.M. when he says he lost power, causing the plane to crash near the runway approach. The pilot was not hurt. A small amount of fuel spilled from the crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration is now handling the investigation, which it does involving any plane crash.
