State Representative Amos O’Neal will host an expungement fair in Saginaw November 18.
The event will take place from 11:00 to 3:00 at the Saginaw Community Action Center at 2824 Perkins Street. Partnering with the Michigan Attorney Genetral’s Office, Safe and Just Michigan, and HELP, the fair will provide those who have been convicted of certain crimes the chance to have their records expunged, giving them a clean slate.
Examples of eligible offenses to have expunged include second or third offense driving under the influence, any offense punishable by up to life in prison, traffic offenses causing injury or death, criminal sexual conduct or domestic violence. Anyone with criminal cases currently pending will no be eligible for expungements, as will individuals with more than three felony offenses.
