A Dow Chemical plant in Louisiana sustained damage in an explosion Sunday, November 3.

Officials at Dow Louisiana Operations say a vessel, or tank, ruptured at a glycol processing unit at its facility near Plaquemine, which contained water and small levels of sulphuric acid, ethylene oxide and nitrogen. The company has conducted air quality testing at the 1,500 acre facility and say there appears to be no impact to the surround community.

No injuries were reported.
