Early Morning Fire Breaks Out at Former Prestolite Building in Bay City

Bay City Public Safety personnel responded to a fire at the former Prestolite factory at 501 Morton shortly before 5:00 a.m. Thursday, and found heavy fire on the third and fourth floors. The fourth floor had partially collapsed.

The Bangor Township and Frankenlust fire departments provided mutual aid. No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
