E. Coli Prompts Closure of Huron County Beaches

Four Huron County beaches have been closed due to high bacteria levels in the water.
The Huron County Health Department reports beaches at Bird Creek Village Park, Jenks County Park, Veteran’s Village Park and Wagener County Park have all closed since elevated E. Coli levels were detected. The levels exceed 300 colonies per 100 milliliters of water.
There’s no timeline as to when the beaches will reopen to the public.
