Donald Trump Gives Rally at SVSU

Former U.S. President Donald Trump paid a visit to Saginaw Valley State University Thursday, with supporters waiting in line for several hours to attend the rally.

Trump spoke about plans for making tax cuts, including no tax on tips, overtime or Social Security for seniors. He bemoaned the loss of Michigan auto manufacturing and claimed he will bring back the industry after losing jobs to China and Mexico. He attacked his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, blaming much of the nation’s problems like border security and inflation on failed liberal policies.

Trump also repeated claims of the 2020 election being rigged and disputed claims of immigrants eating pets in a Pennsylvania community.

Harris is scheduled to speak in Flint Friday.
