Delta College Planetarium Offers Rooftop Observation of Jupiter and Saturn
On Friday, November 22nd, the Delta College Planetarium will host a rooftop observation of Jupiter and Saturn from 7 to 11 p.m. The two planets will be positioned well for viewing, offering a unique opportunity for the public to observe them through telescopes. The evening will begin with a free presentation in the Dome360 Theater, led by Planetarium Manager Mike Murray. The program will cover astronomical highlights of the evening sky, with a focus on Jupiter and Saturn. Murray will also provide tips on how to observe the planets with the unaided eye, binoculars, and telescopes.
Following the presentation, the planetarium will open its rooftop observation deck for a closer look at the planets, weather permitting. If the weather is cloudy, the show will run as scheduled, and the staff will offer additional demonstrations in the theater. Both the show and observation are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring binoculars for a better view. For more details, visit the Delta College Planetarium website or call 989-667-2260.
