Delta College Making Plans For Renovating Electronic Media And Broadcast Space

Delta College trustees awarded a contract Tuesday, November 12 to Tower, Pinkster to provide architectural and engineering services for A-Wing renovations, including the Electronic Media and Broadcasting department.

Delta Director of Facilities Nick Bovid says much of the broadcast equipment has reached the end of its useful life after work done in the early 2,000’s. He says other objectives include reconfiguration of class space and some asbestos removal, plus new restrooms and offices to replace the ones dating back to the early 1960’s.

Delta wants the state to finance half the estimated cost of just over $2.8 million. Bovid hopes that construction can start in early 2021.
