Crash Kills Two In Shiawassee County

State police troopers are investigating a crash in Shiawassee County that killed two people on Tuesday.

Police say around 9:00 P.M., a 53-year-old Montrose man was heading south on Byron Road near Cole Road in a 2011 GMC Sierra when a 2014 Chevy malib crossed the center line from the opposite direction, crashing head on into his truck. The driver only suffered minor injuries, according to police. However, a 68-year-old man driving the Malibu and his 58-year-old female passenger, both of Byron, were killed at the scene.

The Montrose man was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in good condition.
