COVID-19 Numbers in the GLBR

The state has seen a recent uptick in COVID-19 cases.

The latest numbers from the Great Lakes Bay Region include 7,809 confirmed cases in Bay County with 290 deaths, 4,908 in Midland County with 65 deaths and 15,218 in Saginaw County with 518 reported deaths. In the thumb area, Huron County reports 2,166 cases with 59 deaths and Tuscola County at 3,394 and 130 deaths.

Around the entire state over the past two days, there have been 8,202 new cases of COVID-19 and eight new deaths. Michigan currently has had 660,771 positive COVID-19 cases. 16,034 people have died from the virus.

Health officials urge residents to remember, even with the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine, to wear a face covering when in public, wash hands often and maintain 6 foot social distancing.
