Counterfeit Money Found In Clare Bank

Police in Clare are asking the public to be on the lookout for counterfeit money.
According to the Clare Police Department, fake $100 bills have been circulating in the community. At least five of the counterfeit bills were discovered at an Isabella Bank branch on the city’s north side, received from area businesses over the weekend. Each of the bills had the same serial number, according to police. There are currently no known suspects.
Police are asking anyone with information about potential suspects, or who may have received one of the counterfeit bills to call (989) 386-2121.
