Contamination Closures Lifted for Area Beaches

Three of the four mid-Michigan beaches shut down for E. Coli contamination have reopened.

These include Bird Creek Village Park beach in Huron County’s Port Austin, Singing Bridge Beach on Lake Huron in Arenac County and the beach at Bay City State Park. Bluebell Beach on Mott Lake in Flint remains closed due to contamination from an unknown source.
