Commotion at Local Walmart Causes Unfounded Fears on Social Media

Some social media rumors were spreading Wednesday morning about a possible gunman or active shooter situation at the Walmart in Kochville Township, but the Saginaw County Sheriff’s office said there was never any threat.

Saginaw County Undersheriff Miquel Gomez said police responded after a dispute between a couple that happened at the store. The woman reportedly yelled that the man had a gun, but no gun was ever found. The incident happened around 10:30 a.m., but was cleared up in less than an hour.
