The city of Clio has issued a boil water advisory following a water main break.
Officials say the break occurred Wednesday in the 200 block of Campbell Street. The advisory affects residents in that area and in the 200 block of Curry Street. Households are asked to boil their water before using it for drinking or cooking, as the loss of water pressure in the area can result in contamination. The city will collect samples of the water while the issue is addressed to ensure water quality meets state standards. Residents will be notified in the next few days when the advisory is lifted.
This is the fifth advisory in six months when the city issued four boil water advisories in August after a contractor reportedly hit a service lead on July 12.
