Classic Car Auction to Benefit Northwood University
More than 30 classic automobiles will be auctioned off this Friday to benefit Northwood University.
The collection of vehicles, valued at over $2 million, was donated by Michael and Dianne Morey, the previous owners of Bandit Industries, before they sold the company in 2018.
This Friday, Florida-based Mecum Auction House will be auctioning all but one of the vehicles off, with bidding online, over the phone, or in-person at Northwood University. Up to $1 million will be dedicated to enhancing the campus experience and expanding on recent improvements, with the remaining funds going toward a scholarship and endowment fund.
A 1958 Chevrolet Corvette from the collection will be kept by the University and displayed on campus as a reminder of the Moreys’ generosity.
