Clare County Pastor Accused of Sexually Assaulting a Child

A pastor of a Clare County church is accused of sexually assaulting a boy in June 2021.
On Friday, 57-year-old Harold Norman Cole, Jr., pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Farwell, was arraigned in Clare County on a charge of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a person under the age of 13, which involves sexual contact with force or coercion. The boy, still a minor, now lives out of state. The accusation was made this past March with the Clare County Sheriff’s Department investigating the allegations.
Cole was released on a $20,000 bond and must wear a GPS tether. He could face up to 15 years in prison. His next court hearing is November 12.
