Central Michigan District Health Department Vaccine Supply Limited
The Central Michigan District Health Department has received less COVID-19 vaccine doses this week than they requested.
Last week, the department requested more than 4,725 doses of the vaccine but were informed on Friday, January 15 they would only receive 1,200 doses. They are currently finishing priority 1A individuals and are working on group 1B. However, demand still exceeds supply of the vaccine, meaning all vaccine clinics are filled to capacity this week. The health department will contact businesses and individuals on the waiting list by email or phone.
The department is asking for patience during this time and ask that people not call to ask about scheduling the vaccine unless they do not have access to the internet. Updates can be found online at cmdhd.org/novel-coronavirus. If you don’t have access to the internet, please call (989) 773-5921 ext. 1444 if you have any questions. If you are calling to sign up for the vaccine, please leave a message with your name, phone number, county of residence and a brief message. Staff will return calls as soon as possible.
