With a declining enrollment, Bay City School trustees are reviewing district buildings. Superintendent Doctor Stephen Bigelow says seven buildings are being studied.

Bigelow said a special committee is looking at the old Forest School housing an early childhood education program and a child care center in the former Webster School.

The Bay City school board is making plans to move administrative offices into the Handy Middle School and moving the maintenance staff into the transportation building.

The former McKinley School will be torn down later this month and there’s a potential buyer for the Wenonah School. The district would also like to sell the vacant land where the former Trombley School was located.

No timetable has been set for any decisions.
