Bay County Seeks Public Input on Community Center Pool

Bay County is requesting public input on the need for a community outdoor public swimming pool.

The current pool at the Bay County Community Center at 800 JFK Drive in Bay City was closed during the pandemic, in part due to a lack of life guards, and hasn’t reopened since. The county is holding a public survey to determine the need for and desirability of repairing or replacing the community outdoor public swimming pool to meet the recreational needs of County residents.

Bay County has retained WTA Architects and Counsilman-Hunsaker to explore and obtain public input, provide design concepts with cost analysis for capital installation as well as yearly operational cost, and other relevant information the county will need to make an informed decision. To take the survey, click here. Residents can submit the survey until February 27.
