Bay County Releases Annual Transportation Funding Report

The Bay City Area Transportation Study (BCATS) has released its Annual Obligation Report, showing Federal funding obligated in the BCATS area for Fiscal Year 2023 for roads, bridges, and transit.

The report shows overall transportation funding at more than $82 million, with the bulk of that spending on the US-10 reconstruction, which will continue into next year. The cost of those projects is around $32 million.

A total of 37 projects are listed in the report, which breaks down the amount of funding received from federal, state and local levels. Federal funding totaled just over $46 million dollars with $7.5 million in federal transit funding.
