Bay County Commissioners Briefed On Bay Medical Care Facility Upgrade

The Bay Medical Care Facility is undergoing a $21.5 million renovation scheduled to wrap up in late 2020 after starting in October, 2017.

Executive Director Ruth McAlpine  says the number of private rooms will be doubled from eight to 16.  McAlpine explained other enhancements will include the kitchen, conference, recreation and activity rooms, along with new insulated windows. She told Bay County Commissioners the overall goal is to make the building on West Hampton near Knight more home like and less institutional.
