Bay City Manager Dana Muscott says three bids have been received for a possible public-private partnership to refurbish the city owned Liberty and Independence Bridges.

Bidders include Denver based United Bridge Partners, American Roads of Detroit and Kiewit Infrastructure Company of Chicago. Muscott explained city administrators will take a closer look at each proposal.

Meetings will then be set up perhaps as early as July with the City Commission and public to allow each company to explain their proposal. Muscott says it’s ultimately up to Commissioners whether to accept or reject the partnership format as a way to address mounting repair costs.
