Bay City Police Question Man About Shooting at Dogs
Police in Bay City are looking for information regarding a shooting that took place Sunday, April 24 on a rail trail.
Police arrived on the scene near Niagara and Morton streets around 10:40 a.m. where witnesses say a man shot at two dogs. Two people fled the scene following the incident. One of the dogs was taken to a veterinarian with a minor wound to its paw, though it isn’t known what actually caused the injury. Police recovered a number of spent shell casings but did not find anyone.
Later in the afternoon, witnesses say the man responsible for the shooting returned to the area. Police were able to locate the man at his home where he was questioned and a firearm was recovered, though no arrests were made at the time.
