Bay Area Chamber Hires Workforce Development Director

The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce has appointed a new Director of Workforce Development.

Sara Parker will coordinate and collaborate on workforce development programs, partnerships, and strategies aimed at bridging the skills gap and aligning the local workforce with the evolving demands of the business community. Her responsibilities will include collaborating with local businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations to develop innovative workforce solutions that will benefit both employers and job seekers. Prior to joining the Chamber, Parker served in key leadership roles where she successfully implemented programs that led to job creation, career advancement, and economic development.

Parker also has extensive experience marketing, event planning, and business development which align with the goals of the talent attraction and retention program. She will begin her role on January 2.
