Bay and Isabella County Authorities Investigating Break-Ins at Marijuana Dispensaries

Authorities in Bay County are investigating a break-in at a Bangor Township marijuana dispensary that matches similar crimes recently around the state.

Shortly before 5:30 last Thursday, Bay County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to PUFF Cannabis on Marquette Avenue in Bangor Township. According to police, two windows had been broken through and the business had been burglarized, but the thieves had already left. Surveillance video reportedly recorded three suspects with covered faces smashing display cases and taking merchandise totaling more than $21,000 in value.

Later that morning, a dispensary in Mount Pleasant was broken into and burglarized in a similar fashion. According to investigators, suspects later arrested in Kent County were in possession of some of the stolen weed from PUFF.
