Bar Fire Causes Extensive Damage

Around 5 O’clock Sunday Morning a fire was discovered at a business in southern Saginaw County. Chesaning Brady FD called for mutual aid from five other fire departments to help fight the fire at a commercial structure fire in the Village of Oakley.
Upon arrival to the Bennett Family Tavern, flames were blazing through the roof. Crews spent several hours on scene.
There were no reported injuries. However the damage was extensive.
Chesaning Brady crews were assisted by Elsie FD, Marion Twp FD, Owosso Twp FD, Maple Grove Twp FD, Tri-Township FD and Consumers Energy.
