Apartment Building Damaged In Saginaw, Families Displaced

Three families were displaced from their homes last Friday after a fire burned in a four unit apartment building in Saginaw.

Fire crew were called to the 2100 block of Weiss Street around 2:00 A.M. where a fire was located in the upper level of the building. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the upper floor, though the entire building sustained smoke and water damage.

All occupants safely evacuated the building before crews arrived on scene, though three people were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The American Red Cross is helping two families while friends are helping the third.

The fire remains under investigation.
