Alpena Man Dies in Iosco County Crash

An Alpena man died and a Caro man suffered serious injuries in a Wednesday, December 1 Iosco County crash.

The 55-year-old Caro man was driving a 2018 Toyota Tacoma east on M-65 near Rollway Rd. around 1:50 p.m. when a 1993 Jeep, driven by 76-year-old Robert Podsadlo, crossed the center line heading west and collided with the pickup truck. Podsadlo died at the scene. The Caro man was taken to a local hospital before he was transferred to a hospital in Saginaw.

Police say speed may have been a factor in the crash. Troopers were assisted by Iosco County Animal Control, Plainfield Township Fire Department, Iosco County EMS and the Oscoda Township Police Department.
