Alcona County Deputies Arrest Bay City Man for Shooting Incident

A Bay city man is facing several felonies after shooting another man at an Alcona County bar last Friday.

Police responded to Glennie Tavern in Curtis Township around 11:10 P.M. for a report of a shooting. They say a 33-year-old Bay City man and a 30-year-old West Branch man got into an altercation before the victim was shot in his groin area. He was taken to a local hospital before being transported to a Saginaw hospital where he’s listed in stable condition.

Police say the suspect, held in the Alcona County Jail without bond, is facing charges of assault with intent to commit murder and possession of a firearm while intoxicated causing a serious impairment.
