Indy Bridge Plans on Bay City Commission Agenda

The City of Bay City is planning to update its lease agreements with United Bridge Partners, the contractors responsible for taking over maintenance and repair of the Liberty and Independence Bridges.

In a closed executive session to open the meeting Monday, November 7, the commission will meet with UBP and the city’s attorneys Warner Norcross & Judd. Updates to the bridge agreements will be presented after the closed session and lease agreements are set to be approved later in the meeting. The updates include information about the rehabilitation of Independence Bridge, which was originally going to be rebuilt, but it has since been determined that it could be rehabed instead.

According to city officials, information on the lease agreements will be released after the executive session during the regular meeting. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m.
