A 13-year-old boy has been taken into custody after police say he brought a loaded handgun to school.
According to Michigan State Police, administrators at Pinconning Middle and High School were informed that a student had a gun and ammunition around 2:00 on Tuesday. Police say that staff brought the student to the office, where they found a loaded .22 handgun and an extra magazine in his possession.
The student was arrested by Michigan State Police troopers and lodged at a local juvenile detention facility.
Police say no one was injured, and no shots were reported.
