11-Year-Old Gratiot County Homicide Victim Identified

An investigation into the shooting death of an 11-year-old girl in Gratiot County continues.

Police have identified the victim as Addison Redman of Arcada Township. She was discovered dead in her home on Tyler Rd. by a sibling Tuesday, August 20 from a gunshot wound to the head. The gun used in the shooting was not found at the home. Police say Redman was home alone at the time.

Police are investigating the incident as a homicide and are interviewing a person of interest in the case, who is cooperating.
