Saginaw County Law Enforcement Agencies Investigating Two Murders

Authorities in Saginaw County are investigating two weekend murders.

Sheriff deputies say a 60-year-old Marion Township man was found dead in his home in the 13000 block of South Merrill Road, near Burt Road, about 1:00 p.m., Sunday.  Detectives were interviewing a man in connection with the case. Sheriff Bill Federspiel said an autopsy, likely Monday, will determine a cause and time of the man’s death. No names have been released.

Buena Vista Township Police say State Police are now handling a murder discovered Saturday. A person taking a walk near Hartsuff and 25th Street, discovered the body of a 57-year-old man in a field. Investigators determined the man had been killed in the 400 block of South 13th Street in Saginaw and his boy was dumped in Buena Vista Township.

The Crime Stoppers tip line, 1-800-422-JAIL (5245), offers a cash reward for an anonymous tip in either the Buena Vista Township or Brant Township crimes.
