State Police investigators say that a report of an October 30th abduction and sexual assault in Tuscola County’s Wells Township turned out to be false.

An adult woman claimed to have been forced into a vehicle after stopping to help a stranded motorist along Riley Road between East Dayton and Pierce.

She said she was then taken to an unknown location where the assault occurred.
