First Day Preview For Sunday, May 5, 2013

What a fantastic weekend!

Seriously, this weekend is filled with all kinds of cool holidays and sports, compounded with near-perfect weather conditions here in the Great Lakes Bay Region.  I’m sorry for those of you living somewhere else in the other lower 48 states that are dealing with snow, sleet, Santa Ana Winds, brush fires, mudslides, floods, and whatnot.

But who says Climate Change is a real thing, right?

PatHilaryI hope you can tune in for another installment of First Day with Pat Johnston and Hilary Farrell on WSGW 790AM, 100.5FM, online at wsgw.com, or you can hear the show right here on the blog.

Hilary’s going to be busy in the WSGW Newsroom throughout the morning ensuring she brings you the latest news from the GLBR, the state of Michigan, the nation, and the rest of the world.  And, she’ll add-in one of those odd, or weird, stories you may have missed this past week.

I’ll have the sports updates, including results from tonight’s big Detroit Red Wings playoff game, Detroit Tigers-Houston Astros contest, and the Kentucky Derby.

If you want to check-out my “Pat Political Point,” you can click right here, or just wait until 7:40am to hear it.

The Music Minutes this week will focus on the work of Blind Willie McTell, Echo and The Bunnymen, ZZ Top, Ra-Ra Riot, The Beatles Minute at 7:57am, and of course, we’ll bring you another long-awaited edition of “Hilary’s Song of the Week” at 8:45am.

Naturally, we’ll do another “Pat’s Movie Trivia” at 8:40am.

If you ever have comments, criticisms, or if you just want to send-out a kind word or two, email us at pat@wsgw.com or hilary@wsgw.com.

Have a great rest of the weekend, and have a fantastic Cinco De Mayo!!!
