First Day Preview

Can you believe it?  Another Sunday is almost upon us.  And if it’s Sunday, then it’s time for another edition of WSGW’s First Day with Pat Johnston & Hilary Farrell from 6-9am on 100.5FM, 790AM, and online at

Hilary and I have been waiting all week to bring you the only local, LIVE, Sunday news/talk show in the Great Lakes Bay Region!  You can expect the top-notch reporting you’ve come to know and love from the WSGW Newsroom, as Hilary updates you with what’s happening from across the GLBR, the state of Michigan, the nation, and the world.  I have a feeling Hils will be quite busy updating us on the latest developments in Washington regarding the impending government shutdown.

I’ll have the sports updates, and don’t forget about the Week 4 installment of “Pat’s Perfect NFL Picks” at 6:44am.  Last week, I finished 1-2. So, I must redeem myself.

Hey, where else will you get pinpoint AccuWeather forecast from the esteemed Meteorologist Dan DePodwin?  If that doesn’t bring your ears to WSGW, then I’m not sure what else will!

This week’s “Pat Political Point” will focus on the Republican efforts to defund ObamaCare, and how I don’t understand that going back to our wretched previous health care system is what will fix this country.

Music Minutes this week will feature the 50’s group The Teddy Bears, Janis Joplin, Prince, the indie folk group The Lonely Wild, The Beatles Minute at 7:57am, and “Hilary’s Song of the Week” at 8:44am.

I’ll see if I can trip some of you up with this week’s “Pat’s Movie Trivia” at 8:40am.

All that plus our ever-important witty banter!

If you’re up early on Sunday morning, give us a listen.

Hope you have a great rest of the weekend, and GO TIGERS!
