Are you ready for the Hollywood hypocrites Sunday night at the Academy Awards?

(Charlie Rood)   Are you ready for the Hollywood hypocrites Sunday night at the Academy Awards?

When it comes to supporting causes, you can count on Hollywood to be front and center displaying ribbons, taking pictures, and voicing concern on a variety of issues.

Now, some well-known actors and actors do more than just talk as they put their time, money, and efforts into issues they are associated.

But it seems too often we hear the celebrity cries of "green energy, protecting the animals, and save the children"...   and these pleas are followed by the celebrity use of jets, wearing furs, and food orgies...   such as the party following the Oscars.....

Sunday night, after Hollywood is in the spotlight with the Academy Awards and Oscar winners, it's the Governors Ball, presented by Chef Wolfgang Puck.

His menu includes 600 Maine lobsters, five kilos of caviar, 400 pounds of steak, edameme covered pizza, bacon-wrapped dates, Japanese baby peach salad, truffle macaroni and cheese, plus chocolate souffle cake with shaved espresso ice for dessert!   The evening will end, as usual, with tiny chocolate Oscars dipped in real gold dust.

WHAT ABOUT THE STARVING CHILDREN?   Don't they know how many children could be fed, housed, and educated with all that money spent just on the lobsters?   Let alone the "gold dusted tiny chocolate Oscars"!

By the way, I really don't care how Hollywood types spend their money.   It's their money!

And I'm sure through their spending of money people benefit because of jobs necessary to serve their spending sprees.

I just have to laugh when they do speak about all the problems of the world and their answers are usually more government, more taxes, more compassion, more, more, more...  from US!

Meanwhile, they live their lives, while fans continue to support them because of hard earned dollars spent going to the movies to see the actors and actresses!
