Central Michigan University Police say a weekend robbery on campus was a drug deal gone bad. Officers say a man reported being robbed in the parking lot near Douglas and Bellows Streets at the northwest corner of the CMU campus.
The victim said he was approached by four men about 3:45 Sunday morning. One suspect claimed to have a knife but none was seen. Some items were taken from the victim who suffered non, life-threatening injuries.
The only description of the suspects was three black men and one white man. The suspects were last seen walking to the east, possibly towards an unknown vehicle. They were carrying a backpack and a maroon bag. Some items were taken from the vicitm but there's no word on what was taken from him.
There's no word if any of the suspects or victim were students at the Mount Pleasant university.
