Saginaw County Sheriff Deputies Report Minor Injuries to Motorcyclist, Horse Near St. Charles

Saginaw County Sheriff deputies say a motorcyclist suffered minor injuries after hitting a horse on M-52, south of Saint Charles. Deputies says the
motorcyclist was heading north on M-52, just after 6:15 Monday morning when he hit the horse. The man, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Saint Mary's of Michigan Medical Center in Saginaw for treatment. His name was not available at this time.

A veterinarian checked the horse and said its injuries were not serious. Members of the Saginaw County Sheriff Posse took the horse and are trying to locate the owner. The horse is a brown, full-grown female, with a tan mane. Anyone who may know who owns the horse can call Saginaw County 911.

The motorcycle crash was the third in the past eight days in Saginaw County. A 58-year-old Potterville woman, Pamela Graham, was killed after hitting a dog, August 10th. A 53-year-old Merrill man, Arthur Gath, died after hitting a deer early Saturday morning.
